Want to start the New Year with a new challenge to blow the cobwebs away?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Uttlesford District Council within our newly restructured Licensing team for two Senior Licensing and Compliance officers. The posts will report directly to the Licensing and Compliance Manager and will supervise either licensing processing or enforcement team activities or possibly a bit of both. Your duties will include deputising for each other and the Licensing and Compliance Manager when necessary.
You will have a broad knowledge of regulatory duties including that covering the licensing of hackney carriage/private hire, alcohol, entertainment and gambling licensing, charitable street and house to house collections and scrap metal. You will also attend Committee and provide professional advice and guidance on licensing matters to senior management and elected Members.
Having proven supervisory/team leader experience, you must have an organised approach to your workload and have the ability to prioritise. You should be able to contribute to team working inspiring, supporting and motivating the members of your team in delivering an excellent standard of customer service. A working knowledge of the Uniform licensing and document management software package would be a distinct advantage.
In return for your hard work and contribution, we can offer you a chance to work in the prettiest area of North Essex, fantastic countryside with a mix of towns and villages but also good access to London and Cambridge. We also have a range of benefits including generous annual leave, flexi time, free parking, leisure centre discounts, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and more.
