To carry out general cleaning of the public toilet facilities located within the Borough and to ensure that the cleaning of the interior and exterior of the public toilets are to a high standard of cleanliness. Cleaning tasks include however are not limited to cleaning toilets, sinks, basins, urinals, fixtures and fittings, unblocking toilets, replacing toilet roll, hand towel and soap as required. To ensure the toilets are fit for use and that any floods or blockages are cleared in a timely manner. To liaise with the Facilities Officer to report any repairs and maintenance issues including any Health and Safety concerns. Maintain a good stock control of chemicals and consumables communicating when orders are required. To be responsible for unlocking and locking of the public toilet facilities. Post holder must be flexible and be available to work across a 7 day week, including weekends and bank holidays. The post holder may be required to undertake work not listed above, such duties will however fall within the scope of the role.
Previous cleaning experience, good knowledge and understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety in the workplace, experience of working individually and as part of a wider team, ability to work unsupervised and alone using own initiative, good understanding of manual handling and safe systems of work. Good, effective communication skills.
General handyperson skills, First Aid qualification, Full clean UK driving License.
