SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School Paulson Drive L30 2NR.

Salary: £18795 Pro Rata

Contract: Temporary to March 2020 (could be extended subject to funding)

Hours: 27.5 hours per week. 8.30 AM to 3 PM.

The Governing body at Holy Spirit are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and Level 2 SEND Teaching assistant who wants to be a part of transforming education in Holy Spirit, and helping to create an exceptional place of learning. You will be enthusiastic, have great interpersonal skills, enjoy being pro-active and working as part of a caring and hard-working team. The successful applicant will relevant, recent experience and high expectations. The role would involve delivering focussed learning activities which are tailored to children with SEND.

The successful candidate will:

Be supportive of the inclusive catholic ethos of the school

Have confidence in supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis

Have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs,

Have a genuine desire to work with children

Be enthusiastic, hard-working, with a sense of humour

Be flexible, adaptable and have a positive working attitude

Be able to set high expectations for themselves and children

Have a willingness to contribute positively to our happy team and become involved in the wider aspects of school life

Our school is a strong community where staff work closely with governors, parents, pupils and the local community.
