Waste Management Team Leader

You will join us as a Waste Management Team Leader

The successful candidate must have a degree in an appropriate discipline, with a proven track record of success in ensuring this dynamic service will continue to be effectively delivered in partnership with its waste collection contractor Biffa Municipal Ltd.

Waste Team Leader Responsibilities:

To support the head of service and service manager by:
-Providing input into the creation and deployment of service plans
-Understanding and contributing to budget planning, management and expenditure, overseeing and controlling the budget for your team.
- Interpreting the resulting implications and developing appropriate policies, procedures and practice to ensure that both councils comply with their statutory obligations, as well as to secure performance improvement and increased customer satisfaction.

Waste Team Leader Requirements:

A high performing individual, you will have strong all-round communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships within the organisation and its external partners. Organised with excellent operational planning skills, reliability and calmness under pressure are pre-requisites of this postholder.

About South Oxfordshire District Council:

South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils are seeking an experienced team leader to join our Waste Services team and be part of a committed team focusing on delivering a high quality waste collection, recycling and street cleansing service to it residents.

Location: Abingdon (Didcot)

Job type: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

Salary: £44,543 Grade 8
