From a housing service that manages more than 2,700 homes across six London boroughs and the Square Mile to social care support, education opportunities for young people and adults to public health, the Community and Children’s Services Department of the City of London Corporation has a wide remit. Our senior officers depend on sound information to help them make critical decisions about service planning, commissioning and delivery, in partnership with other stakeholders such as the NHS and the voluntary sector.
Specialising in children’s social care, early years, education and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), you’ll provide intelligence that will determine the commissioning, implementation and delivery of services, programmes and projects across this unique area of London. You’ll oversee the submission of statutory data returns to government and work with communities to define intelligence to support them to articulate their needs and concerns.
You’ll bring specialist knowledge of data manipulation and presentation methodologies, combined with a sound knowledge of public policy work. You’ll have a good grasp of key issues for local government relating to children’s services and an ability to advise throughout the commissioning process. Experience of working with data management systems is essential and you’ll have the skills to work with and communicate your findings to a wide variety of audiences.
