Business Support Officer – Economic Development (Ref: 1G021P)
Hours available up to 18.5 hours per week (flexible working)
Salary: up to £12,438 (FTE £24,877 p.a)
The Council is seeking to recruit someone with excellent business support skills to undertake this key role for the Economic Development and Regeneration agendas for the Borough. This is a varied and innovative position that has responsibility for both business support and financial administration for the service. The duties include attending meetings, preparing presentations, managing small projects such as the festive lighting programme and managing website and social media accounts.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be self-motivated and able to plan well. The role requires dealing with complex management accounts and monitoring project spend effectively. Excellent numeracy (GCSE in maths or equivalent) and accuracy are essential. In order to prepare correspondence, minutes and visual presentations a high standard of written communication, (GCSE or equivalent in English) is also needed, as is the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English.
The Council is currently going through an exciting digital transformation journey, which requires someone who is adaptive to change and approaches this with enthusiasm and as a team player. This post can provide flexible working for the right candidate as there is a requirement to attend some early morning and evening meetings.
A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
