This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to join our Gymnastics team at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced Level 1 Qualified individual to help deliver the Gymnastics programme at the Leisure Centre, or gymnastics industry experience willing to work towards a Level 1 qualification. 

Our programme offers coaching sessions to children from 5 to 16 years of age helping participants to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a coach that: 

  • Enjoys working with children from 5 – 16 years of age
  • Is a great communicator and motivator
  • Delivers high quality coaching sessions based on age and ability
  • Is a team player that is always willing to help whenever needed
  • A positive & hard working attitude to their work 

Working hours will be offered on a casual basis and will include evenings and weekends.  As a casual worker, you will be paid only for the hours which you work.  The nature of casual work means that there is no mutuality of obligation.  This means that the Council is not obliged to offer you any hours and neither are you obligated to accept any hours offered.   The Council cannot guarantee that work will be available every week. 

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service. 

Earlier this year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
