£27,099 per annum for 36 hours per week based at Surrey Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, 70 Wray Park Rd, Croydon Rd, Reigate RH2 0EJ.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the role

The main objective of the role is to support the delivery of the Fire Transformation Programme. 

The Project Assistant role is based within the Transformation Hub at Surrey Fire and Rescue Services. You will be a part of a team who work towards and deliver a wide reaching and varied scope of projects within the Transformation Programme.

You will be self motivated, have strong relationship building, communication and engagement skills. You will have good prioritisation skills and a good basic knowledge and understanding of numerous project delivery processes. You will need to have excellent IT skills and be a real team player who is willing to help and support colleagues as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a challenging programme of change for someone with a flexible can-do attitude.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

  • Experience of working within a fast paced office environment, ideally with some previous project support experience
  • An ability to co-ordinate numerous programme communications channels
  • Be able to maintain a high level of customer service
  • Be educated to A level standard or have equivalent vocational skills and experience.
