The Job Role
Rochford District Council is looking for someone to join its busy Revenues and Benefits Service to help with all aspects of Council Tax, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support administration.
The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, dedicated individual as well as an effective team player with excellent customer care and communication skills.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience of having worked in either a Council Tax or Housing Benefit/Council Tax Support environment and has a good knowledge of these subjects.
Main duties will consist of maintaining Council Tax accounts and assessing customers’ entitlements to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support. This includes dealing with customer enquiries in accordance with law and policy guidelines.
