Job Title: Senior Support Offier
Location: Stevenage
Salary Range: £20,344 progressing to £22,462
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term until March 2021

Job Duties:

An opportunity has arisen as a Senior Support Officer within the Children and Young People’s Commissioning Team working to support the CCRAG Partnership. Hertfordshire are the Host Local Authority and are responsible for the successful administration of the Partnership.

The Partnership currently consists of 26 Local Authority Partners working together to support the contracting, monitoring and annual fee negotiations for children’s placements in residential children’s homes, residential special schools and semi-independent placements.

We are looking for a highly motivated, professional, enthusiastic, and well organised individual. Applicants will need to demonstrate a pass at a minimum grade C (or equivalent) for GCSE Maths and English.  Previous administrative experience is essential. You will be a competent administrator able to undertake a range of administrative duties with experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

You will have the ability to self-manage and prioritise your workload efficiently and be confident in responding to emails, database administration, arranging meetings, booking travel and hotels, taking minutes, raising and chasing payment of invoices, and complex diary management. The role will include events management such as sourcing venues, arranging bookings (via eventbrite) and ensuring all delegates are aware of the arrangements and agenda for the day.

Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with colleagues, both internal and external, at all levels. You will have a good eye for written detail, strong grammatical skills and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.

You need to be someone with a can-do, positive approach and have the willingness to travel to other HCC sites to attend meetings when required.  You may also be required to attend and support CCRAG Partnership Events that may include the occasional overnight stay (expenses will be paid).

This is a fixed term role until March 2021.  However there is the potential of the role being extended.
