£44,838 per annum for 36 hours per week based at County Hall, Penrhyn Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 2DW.

Surrey County Council is on an ambitious and exciting journey, and we are looking for people to join our Children's commissioning division, within the Children, Schools and Families Directorate.

We are looking for change-makers, with strong commissioning, service design, health and Children's and Families experience to join a dynamic commissioning department, who are about to embark on a large scale and far-reaching transformation programmes for the children and young people of Surrey.

To these roles, you will bring extensive knowledge and experience of service design, national practice, alongside experience of commissioning services and interventions across the role portfolios.

You will possess good inter-personal skills and an ability to get on well with people at all different levels, both internal to the organisation and externally, to achieve the best outcomes for the children and young people of Surrey.

You will have the opportunity to influence the wider Commissioning and Transformation agenda and take decisions at a senior level. You will also be working with friendly and supportive colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent outcomes.

Job details

We are looking for an experienced Children's and Families Commissioning Manager, who will lead the redesign and commissioning of high-quality Children's and Families services for the children, young people and their families across Surrey.

You will have strong leadership, change management and transformation experience, which will complement your extensive commissioning knowledge and experience.

You will be passionate about commissioning public services and have knowledge and experience of operating within a complex environment.

You will contribute to both corporate and strategic planning and service transformation whilst providing leadership and management of the strategic change occurring across the provision.

You will have the ability to inform and drive change and be comfortable working within a fast paced environment.
