Job Introduction

A Premises Manager is required full time, at Downs View School in Hollingdean and Downs View Link College (start as soon as possible).  This is an interesting, varied and rewarding post.  We are seeking a self-motivated, skilled, competent and enthusiastic person to join our team.  This post will be primarily based at our Hollingdean school  but will also work regularly at our Link College in Brighton. Our Hollingdean school will be closing at the end of July with all staff and pupils moving in to our newly refurbished school in Woodingdean in September 2020.

Downs View School serves children and young people who have severe learning difficulties, autism or profound/multiple learning difficulties from age 4 – 16, and the College from age 16-19.

The Premises Manager will work proactively under the direction of the School Business Manager to provide an effective premises management service, ensuring the upkeep of a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance & improvement, whilst promoting and delivering Health and Safety and Security for the school. The ideal candidate needs to have experience of Health and Safety Legislation, planning of works and maintenance of all records as required.  

The post is subject to a full/enhanced DBS safeguarding check as Downs View gives the safeguarding of pupils & students the highest priority.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
