Shape a better future with us
We’re thrilled to have achieved Investors in People (IIP) Gold status for how we lead, support and develop people. Now we’d like you to be part of our success and help us take change further. Join us on our journey to a brighter future. By working together, with each other and with our communities, we can take pride in improving lives. Let’s make a better Barnsley for everyone.
Your role in our journey
To ensure the continued provision of high quality 0-19 Public Health Nursing services in Barnsley we are looking for relief staff to work flexible hours with a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification to support the delivery of the healthy child programme to improve health and wellbeing and safeguard children, young people and families within the Borough. You will need to take a flexible approach to ensure the Public Health Nursing Service delivers positive experiences to our clients at every stage of their healthcare journey. You will take a child centred approach whilst undertaking clear and detailed assessments at both an individual and community level including providing early interventions and support to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
What you’ll need
To join us, you will need to be a registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN). We are looking for both School Nurses and Health Visitors on a relief basis with experience of integrated working and public health related work. Your knowledge and understanding of the Healthy Child Programme and children and young peoples needs will enable you to organise and deliver evidenced based care to support our service users within Barnsley. The ability to be flexible and support the needs of the service as and when required including the ability to travel to a range of venues and settings is essential.
A lot to look forward to
Here at Barnsley, we live and work by four important values: honesty, teamwork, excellent service, and taking pride in what we do. Our Public Health Nursing Service is at the forefront of providing care to our children, young people and families and therefore we are seeking individuals who are passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, families and communities.
