Your role in our journey

As Surveyor in the Property team, you’ll provide structured and professional advice and develop effective strategies to encourage the growth within the borough, you will assist on the delivery with corporate and inter-departmental projects, enquiries and presentations, developing new themes of work which support the Town Centre Rationalisation Programme, Community Build Review / Digital First, Accelerating Growth and growing our Commercial Portfolio.  You will work in close partnership with a range of public / private organisations, community and voluntary groups and those who work, live and study in Barnsley. You will lend your expertise, knowledge and innovation to a range of property strategies.   

What you’ll need

These are permanent opportunities, to join us; you’ll need experience of general valuation and estate management. You’ll hold relevant property work experience and either be working towards RICS qualification or be a member of the RICS. You’ll have a commitment to continuous professional development. Resilient and able to ‘get things done’ within this new team to drive forward how to deliver the best quality property services
