This is an excellent opportunity to manage an OFSTED rated GOOD children’s home.
Clophill offers a nurturing long-term home to up 5 children aged 12-18yrs who have experienced emotional and behavioural difficulties. They live in a well-kept house with furnishings chosen and bedrooms decorated with the young people All admissions are planned.
The staff team pride themselves on their Staying Close work, keeping in touch with young people who have left Clophill and are moving on to independence.
The successful applicant will hold a NVQ / QCF Level 5 in "Children and Young People Leadership and Management" on or soon after appointment. Experience of supervising/managing staff within a home for young people who have experienced trauma is also essential.
The work pattern will be mainly day time shifts as well as on-call senior cover, nights and weekends
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- To be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of the service delivered to the young people accommodated within the home.
- To lead the operational management of the staff team and to deploy appropriate staff resources in order that key tasks are fulfilled.
- To ensure effective budget management and
- To ensure all statutory requirements are met to provide the young people with the best possible care.
