An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Organisational Development Team in Adult Social Care and Public Health. We manage a diverse portfolio of work including staff engagement, staff support systems, high profile external event management, stand-alone projects and are members of the council-wide Organisational Development community. This is a key role within a small, but very busy team.
The successful candidate will be a professional, dedicated team player who will lead in the concept design, development, management and delivery of highly engaging, sometimes complex pieces of work. You will be able to draw upon your Organisational Development experience to enable you to lead projects, analyse data, develop ideas and steer conversations to outcome. You will require a flexible approach in a sometimes very fast-paced and changeable environment. You will have strong working knowledge of Organisational Development and HR strategies and how they underpin, shape and influence the staff base that you will be working with.
We are seeking a strong, collaborative, innovative, effective ‘all channel’ communicator, who is able to adapt and flex their approach and style when working with different audiences within and outside of the organisation and be able to demonstrate an excellent level of written skills. They will be comfortable utilising a variety of engagement mechanisms, including large group presenting as well as delivering key messages to staff and stakeholders in a variety of formats. Suitable applicants will need to be highly organised and practised time managers, who are self-motivated and comfortable working within a small team, able to share knowledge and expertise and provide support when needed to ensure the timely delivery of the team’s work in line with the department’s strategic targets.
The role will be based in Lewes at County Hall, with travel to independent venues and other East Sussex County Council sites required.
