An opportunity has arisen to join Croydon’s award winning Gateway Services Division, which is responsible for supporting residents in times of difficulty and crisis. We assist residents that are either at risk of homelessness or are homeless and those that are financially challenged to maximise their income to assist household independence. We do this through an aligned financial, training/work and homelessness prevention offer to stabilise families in crisis and help shape a positive future for Croydon residents.
The Community Resources Delivery Lead will play a key role in the delivery of the award winning Community Connect/Food Stop service. This will include ensuring continued successful programme delivery in Fieldway/New Addington as well as roll out to Thornton Heath and future plans elsewhere in the borough.
You will co-ordinate multiple Community Connect workstreams, work closely with partner organisations and stakeholders from across all sectors, work with vulnerable adults and residents within their communities, undertake capacity building to help support community resilience and development and deliver Gateway outcomes of income maximisation and prevention of homelessness.
You will also co-ordinate and/or support a number of wider community resources workstreams as required for example initiatives linked to Healthy Start, food poverty, volunteering, crowdfunding, community development, partnership working.
You will have knowledge and understanding of community development and collaborative working within communities, working knowledge and application of project management techniques, highly effective communication skills and a good understanding of early intervention and prevention.

The post is community facing; the successful applicant will work in an agile way and be available to attend evening meetings as required.
