Job Title: Day Service Support Workers
Location: East Herts ACS LD Day Service (Cheshunt and Hoddesdon)
Salary: £9.36 - £9.93 per hour (pro rata for part time hours)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Various positions/hours (listed below)

22 hours per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – Cheshunt)
16.5 hours per week (Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays – Cheshunt)
14.75 hours per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays – Hoddesdon)

Although these are all part – time posts, we are particularly looking for people who would have the ability to work additional hours/days when needed

The Day Service Support Worker role involves supporting people with learning disabilities in the local community and within our own centres in Ware, Hoddesdon and Cheshunt to take part in a wide range of activities created by staff, using their varied skills and talents. As many of the people that we support also have additional disabilities, it is essential that you have the ability once trained to undertake manual handling tasks on a daily basis including assisting people with personal /intimate care, pushing people in wheelchairs, implementing health programmes such as physical exercise and escorting on transport. Other duties involve liaising with parents, carers and other professionals and completing necessary paperwork.
