Part-time Land Charges Manager – 20 hours per week
Salary £11,720 p.a
The Borough of Broxbourne is in south east Hertfordshire, just north of London and the M25, with a population of 96,000. It is an attractive place to live and work and is just 25 minutes from Liverpool Street and Stratford International stations by train. There is also good access to airports and the rest of the UK.
An interesting opportunity has arisen for an efficient, organised individual to learn how to undertake property and land-search applications. The duties are varied and also involve the maintenance of the Local Land Charges Register, interrogating, amending, archiving and deleting records, in both manual and computerized formats.
The postholder will eventually take over the management of the Council’s Local Land Charges section on a job-share basis.
Applicants must be efficient administrators with a high degree of literacy and numeracy and excellent IT skills experience of managing data, taking payments and keeping accurate records.
The working hours can be negotiated and there will be some degree of flexibility, especially after training has been completed.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
We are committed to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The benefits package includes generous leave entitlement, a full training and development programme, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and free membership to the Broxbourne Council’s local leisure centres, which includes free access to gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, racket sport sessions, a health suite and a range of generous discounts across other leisure and culture services.
