Harborough District Council is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Harborough Markets Team as a Support Assistant.,

Reporting to the Market Manager, you will provide the administrative support required to deliver the day to day operation of the Harborough Indoor and Farmers’ Market with duties including answering emails, photocopying, filing, word processing, reconciling weekly spreadsheets, raising purchase orders and data entry.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help to co-ordinate some fantastic projects, providing administrative support for a calendar of district wide events, including the award winning Market Harborough Food and Drink Festival, Holistic Harborough, and the BIG Weekend as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival.

You will be enthusiastic, confident with MS Office Suite and ideally have some experience of using social media and writing press releases. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of administration including preparing correspondence, maintaining and organising files and responding to customer queries by letter, email and phone.

This post will be based at Harborough Indoor Market, Market Harborough.
