This is a 12 month fixed term contract with possible extension for a further 12 months.

About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team delivering an exciting strategic programme of transformational change at Surrey County Council to upgrade or replace the existing system which supports the business critical, corporate back-office Finance, HR, Payroll and Procurement processes.
You will be joining at an early stage of the programme when we will be running a procurement project to select a system and implementation partner before starting an implementation project next year.
What sort of person are we looking for?
You will be an enthusiastic self-starter who is highly organised and able to prepare and maintain management information including project plans, engagement plans, action logs and support the production of relevant highlight reports and management information as required.
You will be a supportive team player and help members of the programme team with all aspects of organisation and preparation of meetings and workshops, including arranging rooms and equipment, managing attendance lists, minute taking and providing other assistance as required.
You will be excellent at liaising, communicating and building relationships with other internal departments, customers, partner organisations and / or contractors to respond to ad hoc queries and requests and also to support and represent the team.
You will have a continuous improvement mind-set and recommend improvements to our programme support processes and tools and support their implementation to ensure best practices are shared across the team.
