Salary from £18,627 to £19,956 pa (40 hour week)

After many years of outsourced grounds services, Ashford Borough Council has re-establishing an in-house team (Aspire Landscape Management) to provide a range of improved grounds maintenance services around the borough.

You will undertake tractor driving operations which will assist with the cultivation and management of amenity grasslands, open spaces, hedgerows and shrubs within the borough, in both rural and urban settings.

It is essential that you take responsibility for ensuring that the plant and equipment is maintained and is fit for purpose, completing pre start checks and maintenance as required.

It is essential that you have a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities.

You will need to be competent in the operation of tractors and various implements including side arm flails, mowers and sport turf equipment, as well as knowledge of the maintenance of these items of equipment.

If you consider yourself an enthusiastic, flexible team player, we would like to hear from you!

You will need to be physically fit and used to working outside in all weathers and hold a full driving licence pre 1997 or C1E licence.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact James Laidlaw on 01233 330346.
