We are investing in our Building Control Service and are now looking for Technical Officers to join our team. If you are committed to delivering an excellent service and have a customer service focus, we would like to hear from you. You will need enthusiasm, confidence and drive to satisfy client expectations, promote the service and secure the compliance of development within the Borough.

You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have a knowledge of current legislation (and regulatory framework provision of the building control function). Responsible for processing Building Regulation submissions, the successful candidate will assist with the day to day office functions including managing the Competent Persons Scheme and assessing Initial Notices and Demolition Notices.

You will have experience of working within a building control environment (local government or private sector) and be computer literate, knowledge of Uniform (CAPS) would be beneficial. We believe you will find the role extremely exciting and rewarding as we challenge ourselves to provide the best possible services for residents and developers.

The ideal candidate will hold an appropriate qualification in building studies or a related subject.
