Role: Service Manager - Safeguarding and Child Protection
The Service Manager will work in partnership with other senior managers across all teams and be responsible for the management of IROs and Child Protection Conference Chairs. The successful candidate will drive performance improvements and have high aspirations for Thurrock children. They will be expected to deputise for the Strategic Lead Quality Assurance and LADO, and contribute to budget monitoring and service development.
You will need substantial knowledge of child protection, child looked after and family welfare processes and be able to understand and use data to improve practice. Communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and prioritise competing demands. In addition to the daily expectations of this role you will be able to lead developments that focus on the effectiveness of the service.

You will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with at least 3 years management experience and registered with the HCPC.
You will need to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service check.
