Location: Across the whole of Thurrock
Hourly rate: Starting at £9.99 per hour + shift allowance minimum 10% for working unsociable hours
Contracted Hours: 25 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Care Assistants to contribute to Provider Services within the Adults, Housing and Health directorate of the Council. You will be required to work within the Thurrock Care at Home team providing care to Thurrock residents in their own homes.

The role will be working as part of a team to promote personalisation and re-ablement where possible, while assisting in achieving the delivery of outcomes for residents within their own home. You will support and assist the residents with all aspects of their daily living needs including moving and handling, medication, food preparation, toileting. You will need to be able to build appropriate relationships with Service user's to ensure core values are met.
The type of person who will be suitable for this role will need patience, understanding, commitment and have a genuine caring nature.
You will also be able to demonstrate the core values of the home promoting Dignity, Choice & Control, Person Centred Care, Rights, Fulfilment, Respect and Independence. You will need to have a Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle to enable you to travel around the borough.
A Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) at Enhanced level will be required for this post.
