The Community Health and Wellbeing team at Uttlesford District Council are looking for a Senior Health Improvement Officer for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.
This is a demanding, yet varied and rewarding role supporting a range of health improvement initiatives. You will be required to raise awareness of public health issues through targeted promotional campaigns and other activities in conjunction with the West Essex CCG, Essex County Council and other agencies and service providers. You will also assist in monitoring and reporting on initiatives, interventions and programmes to ensure they remain effective and fit for purpose.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of effective commissioning processes and initiating, developing and delivering policies and projects. You will also need to be able to interpret public health data and evidence and have an appreciation of policy and strategy development. You should have excellent communication skills, be a team player and have a working knowledge and understanding of current issues for Public Health.
