Weare looking for a technical expert to assist our Planning Team in LegalServices, with a range of challenging and exciting capital projects. You will deliver high quality legal servicesin respect of planning matters and make a key contribution to achieving theborough's objectives.

We have recently restructured our service toincrease resilience, better align with the Council’s functions and meet itschanging needs, and are now looking for experienced and highly motivated professionalsto join the team.Flexible working is available including working from home for part of the working week after a settling in period.
You will be a Senior Lawyer within a team of lawyers dealing witha challenging and varied Planning and Regeneration caseload that includescomplex planning enforcement and judicial reviews. In addition to the above areas, youwill be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with planning inquiries,providing advice at planning committees, the negotiation/completion of complex S.106and highways agreements and the provision of advice on general planning policy,CIL and development Management matters. You will have excellent drafting skillsand the ability to provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, includingsenior officers. You will be able to conduct your caseload with minimumsupervision, be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and will beaccustomed to working at pace in a busy team.
Youmust be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX and hold apractising certificate.Test/interviews will take place on 9th December 2019
