Fixed Term Contract

 

Ealing’s safer communities team coordinates the borough’s partnership problem solving, ensuring swift and effective intervention and enforcement action is taken and that long term initiatives are delivered to improve quality of life for all residents and protect the borough’s most vulnerable. 

 

The team are looking for a results focussed professional to target environmental offences.  Working principally within the CCTV control room, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and targeting hotspot areas and capturing, investigating and prosecuting a range of environmental offences, as well as criminal and anti-social behaviour. 

 

You will have experience of partnership working, risk management and problem solving.  A sound understanding of legislation changes, including the ASB, Crime and Policing Act (2014) and knowledge of intervention and enforcement tools are desirable but not compulsory attributes.  Customer focus, results focus, a commitment to continual development, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes are key.

 

Prospective candidates should have a proven record on delivering successful partnership outcomes and of applying creative problem-solving approaches.  Experience of negotiating and influencing, decision making and excellent communication skills are key desirable attributes.

 

This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

 

This role is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.
