Being a successful Community Occupational Therapist in the Disabled Children’s Team involves developing and maintaining good quality professional relationships with children, their families and other agencies. We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with an interest in working with children, who is prepared to commit to working in a busy team and provide services to children with a range of disabilities, including learning and physical, in their own homes and community. You need to be flexible, willing to be innovative and work within the constraints of a Local Authority budget as well as be committed to exploring alternative sources of funding and support.
The Disabled Children’s Team sits in Education and is part of the SEN and Learning Support Team. The Disabled Children’s Team is made up of Social Workers; Occupational Therapists; Business Support and Family Support Worker’s. You will be supervised by a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Team.
