3C Shared Legal Practice has a great opportunity for a Contracts & Procurement Lawyer carrying out work for South Cambridgeshire District Council (main office base), Cambridge City Council and Huntingdonshire District Council.
Applicants will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
Applicants for the post must have good knowledge of the current law on contracts and public procurement including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
Applicants must be able to draft goods, services and works contracts, MOU’s, grant agreements, complete call-off terms and conditions and framework agreements and attend meetings and assist the Principal Lawyer as required.
Legal research and document assembly are key aspects of the job and attention to detail is required. The ability to use PLC, Westlaw and an electronic case management system (including time recording) is essential as work is predominantly computer-based, without paper files.
The successful post-holder must be willing to share information and work positively with all other team members and officers, attend team and client meetings and follow office and Council procedures and policy.
