London Borough of Croydon’s Capital Delivery for Homes and Schools Team is responsible for the delivery of the Councils community schools capital expansion and maintenance programme, and a wide range of planned maintenance and major improvements to the Council’s housing stock. The team manage a large capital programme from inception to completion, delivering projects on budget, on programme and to a high standard of quality.
We are looking for a Contract Surveyor to join our delivery team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of delivering services to improve Croydon’s homes and schools, and contribute to making Croydon a place where people want to live, work and visit.
We are looking for a self-starter, with drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering a quality service, with ambition to succeed and progress within the business. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the contract management of term partnering contracts. The successful candidate will form part of a growing regional multi-disciplinary service and will need to be conscientious, flexible and capable of maintaining our standards.
Experience in general construction is a must, along with a thorough knowledge of contract administration and building contracts supported by proven experience in dealing with customers and contractors, ideally within the housing sector delivering planned maintenance .
The successful applicant will work in an agile way and be available to attend site and evening meetings as required. This is a permanent full time post.
