Your New Role
Health & Adult Social Care Finance has recently implemented a new finance system (ContrOCC) along with a Provider Portal. ContrOCC is used for the recording of all the care packages commissioned. Payment and billing files are generated from ContrOCC and imported into the Portsmouth City Council Corporate finance system (Oracle). The provider portal is a secure way for Health and Adult Social Care providers to view the care package information which Portsmouth City Council has commissioned from them. It also enables providers to submit information about the actual care they have delivered (with might be different from the care commissioned) and to submit their invoices electronically.
This post will supervise and monitor the daily activities of The Adult Social Care - Care Purchasing and Payment Teams. Setting the team's day-to-day agenda and monitoring performance to ensure that care is commissioned, orders are recorded and payments for services are made in a timely manner, accurately and within agreed terms.
This post will also support the manager in continuing to improve the commissioning of care packages and the validation of the electronic invoices received from care providers via the ContrOCC Provider Portal, as well as pro-actively engaging with external providers and internal customers.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be qualified to Association of Accounting Technicians level or hold a comparable qualification, and have experience of line management and performance management of staff.
