Project Change Manager
About the role:
Islington Council are looking for an experienced Change Manager to lead their workforce transformation activity and support the delivery and implementation of the Parks for Health Programme. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented change professional to work collaboratively across both Islington and Camden Councils to ensure parks and green spaces become central to its local strategies for promoting health and wellbeing. They will work closely with Public Health Strategists and Senior Commissioning Managers to contribute to robust and regular needs assessment to establish a full understanding of current and future local health needs. The post-holder will also have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and mentoring of a Project Officer and Project Support Officer as well as leading and facilitating the delivery of workstream activities.
About the programme:
Islington and Camden Councils are part of a UK-wide cohort that was successful in securing joint funding from The National Trust and The National Heritage Lottery Fund with support from the government. The joint aim across both councils is for parks and green spaces to improve health and wellbeing by developing closer links to the NHS, health providers, doctors and health charities. This is the first time in the UK that a programme of this scale and ambition has been attempted for urban green spaces across entire towns and cities.
