Salary Range: £28,813 to £31,639 per year

Following a retirement, we are looking for an experienced Pest Control Officer to manage the pest control work of the southern part of the borough and cover the northern part from time to time. This work involves all aspects of pest control, covering a wide range of pests, serving domestic properties mainly but also some commercial premises.
Qualified to at least BCPA/RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management, or equivalent, you will also need the right knowledge, experience and skills to be able to work mostly alone and manage your own workload. You will be required to giveadvice to customers and carry out suitable pest control investigations, surveys and treatments. You will also work jointly with other Environmental Health team members, as well as the Council’s other Pest Control Officer, at times.
In this role you’ll need to be enthusiastic, customer-focused and technically knowledgeable; with good problem-solving and communication skills.
