This is an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and manage the Blue Badge & Concessionary Travel Team at Brighton & Hove City Council. This will include developing the Council's customer interface in respect of the provision of Blue Badge & Concessionary Travel administration ensuring that these services are provided efficiently and to excellent customer service standards to our most vulnerable residents.
About the role
We are looking for someone to continue to develop effective and robust procedures to protect the Council against fraudulent applications to ensure offenders are detected and dealt with proportionately. You will be working in partnership with contractors, the Police and other authorities to tackle Blue Badge and Concessionary Travel misuse protecting parking income. This would include developing the strategies for fraud investigation which include prosecution ensuring the audit requirements of this highly sensitive, Corporate Critical Budget area are met.
