Horsham District Council are looking for a Visitor Services Assistant to provide a customer based service for a wide range of facilities available through the Visitor Information Centre at Horsham Museum and Art Gallery and be the public face of the Museum Service.
As Visitor Services Assistant you will respond to public enquiries about transport, cultural and visitor attractions and accommodation in the local area. You will also deal with visitor enquiries about the museum’s galleries, exhibitions and events. As part of the wider team you will take bookings for events and activities, process retail transactions, restock and display the shop area, and conduct research for and populate the Visitor Information website. The role is fast-paced and constantly changing and will certainly keep you on your toes!
To succeed as Visitor Services Assistant you will have experience in a customer or retail based environment, strong IT skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative as well as working as part of a cohesive team.
