This is an exciting opportunity for 3 individuals to join the grounds maintenance team to work at the centre of a dynamic organisation with an ambitious agenda. We have access to a corporate membership and reward schemes, an Employee Assistance Programme and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
The successful candidates will be required to carry out grounds maintenance tasks around the district helping to achieve our key objectives.
You will be required to ensure vehicles, plants and equipment are maintained correctly and carry out all gardening functions in order to ensure the council’s standards are achieved and maintained at all times. The functions include site preparation and landscaping, burials preparation, maintenance to grassed areas, hedges, flower beds, shrub and rose beds.
We require individuals with sound knowledge and experience in horticulture and all elements of grounds maintenance machinery operation. Candidates should be competent in carrying out maintenance machinery checks and hold a full UK driving licence preferably with B+E entitlement.
All PPE, training and equipment will be provided for the right candidate.
