Job Title: Admin Support Officer
Location: County Hall, Hertford
Salary Range:£19,171 progresssing to £20,344 pa
Hours: 37 per week
An opportunity has arisen for a Support Officer to join the Business Delivery Service within Children’s Services. The primary responsibility is to provide administrative support to two Heads of Service for Family Safeguarding and Children Looked After.
We are looking for a highly motivated, professional, enthusiastic, and well organised individual. The successful candidate will be able to ensure that a high level of administrative support is provided to our Heads of Service to facilitate an excellent service being delivered to our children, families and young people of Hertfordshire.
Although there are no specific qualifications required for this role, previous administrative experience is essential and a business related qualification would be beneficial.
You will be a competent administrator able to undertake a range of administrative duties with experience of using Microsoft Office.
You will have the ability to self-manage and prioritise your workload efficiently and have excellent skills in arranging meetings, taking minutes and complex diary management. You will have the ability to liaise with personnel both internal and external at all levels and possess excellent customer care skills.
Displaying excellent diplomacy and tact, you will also have the ability to phrase correspondence in a mature and professional manner, quite often addressing senior management. You will have a good eye for written detail, strong grammatical skills and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Providing excellent team support and best practice at all times with a can-do, positive approach, you will undertake a variety of administrative tasks, operating within departmental policies and procedures.
You will have the willingness to travel to other HCC sites to attend meetings when required (mileage will be paid).
