Salary: £24,313 - £26,999
Location: Based in Tiverton
We are looking to expand our already successful Building Services Team by recruiting a fully qualified and enthusiastic Plumbing Technician who is capable of installing and commissioning domestic gas appliances.
The successful applicant will primarily be working as part of our ‘Commercial’ team replacing domestic gas boilers and installing/servicing our renewable energy schemes. Dependent upon workload and priorities the successful candidate may also be required to work within our Responsive Repairs, Adaptations, or Voids teams.
Work will be varied and in addition to gas boiler replacements, renewable energy and general plumbing, tasks could also include kitchen and bathroom fitting, gas servicing and isolation, tiling, glazing, full heating systems, and making good.
For this post you must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plumbing and have 5 years post qualification experience. You will also be required to hold the following certifications:
- CCN1 – Core Gas Safety
- CPA1 - Combustion Performance Analysis
- CENWAT - Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters
It would desirable if the successful applicant also held:
- CKR1 – Domestic Cookers
- CCLP1 – Core LPG Gas Safety
It is essential that the post holder is both confident and self-motivated at all times with excellent customer communication skills. Previous experience of Social Housing related work would be an advantage and experience of mobile working solutions/hand held devices is desirable.
The hours of work will be 37 per week with a degree of flexibility and on occasions there may be a requirement to work out-of-hours or weekends. The successful candidate would also be required to be part of the ‘out-of-hours’ emergency service and rota should demand dictate.
