About the Post:
An opportunity has arisen to join the diverse and multi-skilled Business Support Service in Barnsley Council as a Business Support Officer.
The role will provide business support to the Community Enablement Services.
Duties include processing payments applying rules and guidelines, data inputting onto Excel and other systems, problem solving, responding to telephone enquiries, providing advice, guidance, signposting and support to a range of internal and external customers, and processing financial purchasing and invoicing transactions for a range of goods and services.
In addition, you may be required to support a range of statutory meetings and panels, where recording proceedings directly onto a laptop at speed is required.
You will need to hold a level 2 qualification and have experience of working within a business support environment.
You will be flexible in your approach in order to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.
