We are on a mission to deliver a better service to make young people’s lives safer and are looking for a Targeted Support Team Manager to manage and coordinate a rapid response targeted support team for edge of care and targeted youth work.
This is a new team within our the high profile Adolescent Service, the aim of the team is to keep children safe and at home where possible, avoiding family breakdown and assisting with reunification using the London Borough of Croydon ‘Get Back Home’ reunification protocol.
Our teams include social work practitioners, adolescent worker, targeted youth workers and edge of care workers who are focussed on achieving positive outcomes in a borough that has significant challenges including gangs and serious youth violence. We are committed to doing things differently, taking into account current research and best practice, and are looking for people who want to be part of this journey.
We are looking for an experienced team manager capable of working in an operational manager role that have a particular skill with managing staff who are working with young people and have an understanding of risk factors for adolescents, in particular those in Croydon.
You’ll allocate cases, shape and influence practice, demonstrating confident analysis and decision making, ensuring practitioners receive reflective, challenging and explorative supervision to enable informed decision-making on children and young people’s cases.
Your compassion and drive will enable you to effectively engage with staff, supporting them to build relationships with children, young people and their families to create change.
With a salary of up to £52,482 per annum and a recruitment welcome payment. We can offer a development & learning programme to support your management and leadership skills.
