North Somerset’s Early Years & Children’s Centre Team are looking for a part-time team player, who will join the 4 existing Early Years Support Advisors who turn their hands to a wide range of activities – in any one day.
At least 50% of the job role will be working as an Area SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) supporting and advising Early Years settings. You will work with early years providers by making observations and assessments of children in their settings as part of North Somerset’s Early Help approach. You will contribute to the Quality Improvement agenda for childminders, pre-schools, day-care nurseries, school nursery classes and out of school provision for primary aged children. You will be involved in a range of training and development activities to provide the Private, voluntary & independent early years workforce with the tools to do the job. Your line manager will be one of the 2 Early Years Consultants.
