About the role
Service – Business Operations, delivering support functions to services and teams within Surrey County Council and various educational organizations'.
Team – Safer Staffing & Onboarding Team. We deliver payroll set up for all Surrey employees and internal promotion, DBS checks and right to work.
We need customer focused individuals to support a variety of Payroll & HR Administration transactional activities. You will ensure general administrative tasks such as input of contractual changes, and checking of files, are completed accurately and to set deadlines.
The successful candidate will be able to prove their attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy under pressure. You will be required to demonstrate your use of Microsoft office, especially excel, as well as your ability to follow procedures and work to deadlines.
You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Whilst previous Payroll or HR Administration experience is not essential, ideally you should have some office based experience and a desire to work in a fast paced team environment.

- Experience of working within a fast paced environment that is deadline driven, whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent customer service.
- Good IT skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel and good numeracy skills.
