An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Locality Team. The team ensures our district is kept safe, creating a place where people want to live, work and visit.

You will have experience of working in a social housing environment undertaking property inspections, identifying defects and raising reactive work orders using a bespoke schedule of rates. You will also be responsible for undertaking void property inspections and the management of the void work process. You will also be required to undertake property safety inspections and fire risk assessments. You will also liaise with our Project Surveyors on cyclical and capital work programmes.

To succeed, you will either have a Building Surveying degree or an HNC in Building Studies and hold a full UK driving licence. You will be committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, have an enthusiastic and dynamic approach and be able to manage and organise your time effectively to ensure targets are met. You will have a good understanding of the Building Regulations, Control of Asbestos, Health & Safety legislation and the Disrepair Protocol.

The appointment of this post will be made on M1 SCP 27 – 30 (£31, 350 - £34,007) therefore, applicants must demonstrate they meet this grade as described in the Role Specification.
