The Regeneration team works across 4 teams, Canning Town and Custom House, Stratford, the Enterprise Zone and Royal Docks and 'Urban Newham', North Woolwich and Becton. Numerous major schemes are under way, and as development and investment in London moves steadily eastwards, Newham is at its heart.
Senior Area Programme Manager
£66,117 - £84,360 pa
This role is to lead staff, be a key part of the Regeneration Senior Management Team, and support the delivery of a number of initiatives, at different stages of development. Working across departments and in conjunction with external partners, these initiatives will include, the delivery of major regeneration in the Custom House and Canning Town Areas
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering regeneration programmes, leading staff and managing significant project budgets.
Articulate, pro-active, and self-motivated, you will be an extremely effective project manager, with a good knowledge of all aspects of the development process particularly in a regeneration context. You will understand development financing, stakeholder management, community engagement, physical and cultural place making and project delivery. The successful candidates will be creative problem solver and commercially and politically astute with a track record of driving forward delivery and getting things done, whilst also working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
