£10,839.60 per annum for 14 hours per week based at Camberley Adult Learning Centre, France Hill Drive, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 3QB. 

The working hours will be discussed with the successful candidate. Flexibility will be required to ensure cover during peak exam periods.

About the role

Surrey Adult Learning provide a wide range of daytime, evening and Saturday courses and learning opportunities for adults. The provision includes leisure courses like arts and crafts and languages; qualification courses such as GCSE's in English and Maths; classes which support those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities; classes aimed at parents/carers to help them support their children and improve their own skills; and an outreach provision aimed at vulnerable groups in the community who would not normally engage in any form of learning.

Surrey Adult Learning has seven centres across North and South West Surrey and is looking to appoint a second Exams Officer for the Service, to work alongside the existing Exams Officer to develop, implement and manage the administration of examinations across the Surrey Adult Learning course programme and Apprenticeship programme.

The post holder will need strong communication skills to advise the Senior Management Team, Curriculum Team and Centre Staff on examination procedures, requirements, timetables and application procedures as set by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and various awarding bodies.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be well organised, have a good understanding of relevant management information systems and the examination systems. They will need to be a strong team player with excellent administration skills and the ability to manage their own workload, meet deadlines and prioritise as required. 

High standards of accuracy and attention to detail are required as is the ability to travel to various locations within Surrey, therefore this role is a Contractual Car User.
