Little Waves Community Nursery has an exciting opportunity within the leadership team. We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to be part of this dynamic, outstanding provision.
Little Waves Community nursery is a 22 place neighbourhood nursery for children aged 0-4 years old based on the Windwhistle Primary School site. We are a term time only provision. As part of South Weston Children Centre the nursery meets the needs of the children and their families of the Bournville, Coronation and Oldmixon areas of Weston-Super-Mare. The nursery is graded Outstanding by OFSTED.
The successful candidate will understand and value the importance of providing outstanding learning and care in a fun, safe environment, giving children a positive and successful start in life. They will need to be a strong team leader who can demonstrate initiative, good organisational skills, support and motivate reflective practice
The nursery consists of light and spacious playrooms and an outside area which offer a holistic, open ended learning environment. We also have highly skilled and trained Early Years Practitioners who provide a warm, loving and nurturing environment.
The ideal applicant will have a qualification in Early Years and Child Development to at least Level 6 or above. Practical experience of working within Early Years and a thorough understanding of the principles of the Early Years Foundation stage, SEND, Safeguarding, legal responsibilities, work practices and processes will be required. Experience in leadership and management within the Early Years will also be an advantageous. (The Job Description attached gives full details of the post requirements.)
