Regulatory Services Field Officer

Your role in our journey

 

You will specialise in the area of Animal Health, investigating animal health and welfare complaints, undertaking programmed inspections of licensed animal premises such as dog breeders, pet shops, zoos, farms, vehicles and other premises and establishments where animals are kept. You will interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures in order to control disease and prevent suffering. You will be supported as a member of a wider team, covering Animal Health, Trading Standards, Food & Feed Hygiene and Standards, Health & Safety and Dog Warden duties, you will have the opportunity to be involved in work across the service.

 

What you’ll need

 

To join us, you will need a minimum of a Level 3 accredited qualification. A recognised qualification relevant to the work of the team will unlock a higher level position dependent on your relevant professional experience. Whatever level you join us at, you will also bring to the role a commitment to work flexibly, and an appetite for engaging in continuous training and professional development in this rewarding field of work.
