The North West Academies Trust is made up of 7 primaries and 1 secondary school across Cheshire West and Shropshire, with a free school in pre-opening phase. Across the schools there are over 2000 pupils aged 2-16 and 200 plus staff.

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Finance Assistant to join the busy and growing Accounts Team within the Trust. This role is to assist with a wide range of finance and accounts functions. We are looking for someone who can provide support whilst working independently. A key skill of this role is the ability to balance the occasional conflicting demands on your time.

This role would ideally suit a candidate who has experience in finance with strong literary and numeracy skills. You’ll need to be well-organised, have excellent attention to detail, be customer service focused and have a good sense of humour to deal with the challenges of working in a fast paced environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Compiling and maintenance of financial records
  • Processing of invoices
  • Monitoring budgets
  • Credit control
  • General administration tasks

Personal Specification

  • 1-2 years' experience working in finance
  • Sage experience is desirable
  • Organised with a strong work ethic
  • Analytical mind-set and data driven
  • Proactive
