As the Product Specialist – Systems you will work in-line with the requirements of the Council’s performance framework and will lead on technical management to support the necessary systems to develop, establish, implement and administer databases in order to support business processes and comply with legislation.
Key functions of the role include working with the systems across Social Services. As part of this, you will be required to implement the requirements of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2015 including the development, implementation and administration of WCCIS.
As part of the role, you will need to possess extensive knowledge of business and IT system design as well as Microsoft Access and SQL Server 2008 or above and will be educated to Degree level or equivalent in a related discipline or subject.
You will provide training to officers across the Council and will work closely with system providers and the Council’s IT service, SRS. You will also represent Social Services at local and national meetings as required.
The position carries an approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
